Our Review

The HP 17 is built to serve as a reliable desktop replacement, featuring a large 17.3-inch FHD display that provides ample room for multitasking. Powered by the Intel 10-core i7-1355U processor and 16GB of RAM, it handles daily productivity tasks like web browsing, document editing, and video conferencing with ease. The lift-hinge design adds a touch of ergonomic comfort, which is helpful during long work sessions, though its 2.087 kg weight means it is better suited for stationary use than travel. \n\nIt is important to note that this specific unit arrives as a brand-new computer that has been resealed to upgrade the RAM and SSD. While this provides you with increased storage and memory, verify that you are comfortable with the split warranty structure, which separates coverage for the upgraded components and the factory-original parts. It is a straightforward machine that avoids unnecessary frills in favor of consistent, standard performance.

Standout Features

The standout feature is the expansive 17.3-inch Full HD display, which offers plenty of screen space for viewing multiple windows at once. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 ensures modern, reliable wireless connectivity, and the port selection—including USB Type-C and HDMI—keeps you connected to your necessary peripherals.

What We Like

We appreciate the combination of the 10-core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM, which provides enough overhead for smooth multitasking in a home office or student environment. The narrow bezels around the display also help keep the footprint slightly more manageable for a screen of this size.
