In Short

The KRYOHELIX 18V Battery and Charger kit offers a practical, third-party power solution for Ridgid 18V tool users needing extra runtime. This bundle includes two 6Ah batteries and a compatible charging unit to keep your power tools running on the job site.

Our Review

For those already invested in the Ridgid 18V ecosystem, finding reliable third-party power alternatives can be a challenge. This KRYOHELIX kit provides a straightforward solution by bundling two high-capacity 6Ah batteries with a dedicated charger, ensuring you have spare power ready when your primary batteries run dry. It is designed specifically as a replacement for Ridgid models like the R840087 and R840083, offering full compatibility without needing to switch platforms.

Keep in mind that while this serves as a compatible alternative, it is not an original manufacturer product. You should double-check your specific tool model to ensure total compatibility before purchasing. The charger includes a diagnostic LED display to help you monitor charging status, defective battery states, and abnormal temperatures, which is a helpful safety feature for aftermarket gear.

Standout Features

This kit stands out by including a two-battery setup, which effectively doubles the utility for long work sessions. The charger also features an intuitive LED diagnostic system that clearly communicates the status of your charge, including red and green indicator patterns for charging, fully charged, and error states.

What We Like

We appreciate the inclusion of the charger in the bundle, making this a comprehensive starter or expansion kit. Having the diagnostic LED lights provides extra peace of mind, as it helps you quickly identify battery health or temperature issues before they become larger problems.
