In Short

This reversible cast iron plate expands your outdoor cooking options, offering both flat and ribbed surfaces for precise control over pancakes, steaks, and more on compatible Monument grills.

Our Review

The Monument Grills A005 reversible cooking plate is designed specifically for owners of various Mesa and select Monument grill models. By replacing a standard grate section with this heavy-duty cast iron surface, you gain the ability to cook smaller or more delicate foods that would otherwise fall through standard grill grates, such as eggs or thin-sliced vegetables.

Because it is made from cast iron, you will need to practice standard cast iron maintenance, such as ensuring it cools completely before cleaning and avoiding harsh abrasives. It is a solid choice for those who want to turn their grill into a more versatile outdoor stove, provided they own one of the specific compatible grill models listed by the manufacturer.

Standout Features

The standout feature is the reversible design, which offers distinct cooking styles on a single accessory. You can utilize the flat side for breakfast items like pancakes or eggs, and flip it to the ribbed side to achieve sear marks on meats and steaks.

What We Like

We appreciate the durable cast iron construction, which provides excellent heat retention and distribution. The addition of a drip tray to manage excess oil is also a thoughtful touch, helping to keep your grilling sessions cleaner and your food less greasy.
