Our Review
If you are tired of the hassle and recurring cost of buying bags of ice for your recovery sessions, the PlungeFit 1/3 HP Chiller is a compelling upgrade. It actively cools water down to 42°F, ensuring your ice bath is ready exactly when you need it without requiring professional plumbing or complex installation. The inclusion of a built-in pump and reusable filter keeps the water circulating and clean, making this a streamlined solution for home recovery setups. However, users should keep in mind that this unit weighs over 45 pounds, so it is best suited for a dedicated space rather than frequent relocation. You will also need to ensure your existing tub setup is compatible with 1/2-inch ports, or be prepared to use the included submersible pump for tub setups lacking those connections.
Standout Features
The standout feature is the smart connectivity, which allows you to adjust temperatures and create cooling schedules directly from your phone. This automation makes it easy to have your cold plunge ready for a post-workout recovery or an early morning session without manually monitoring the temperature.
What We Like
We appreciate that this is an all-in-one system, combining the chiller, circulation pump, and filter into a single, compact housing. The inclusion of a complete plug-and-plunge kit with insulated hoses and fittings simplifies the setup process significantly for most users.
