In Short
The Sprouterie Extra Tall Cat Gate offers a unique, floor-to-ceiling solution for pet owners struggling with agile jumpers. It features a pressure-mounted, tool-free installation and a narrow bar gap to keep curious cats contained.
Our Review
For pet owners dealing with cats that can easily scale standard baby gates, this model offers a significant height advantage. Stretching up to 90.5 inches tall, it acts more like a room divider than a traditional gate, ensuring even the most athletic climbers are stopped in their tracks without requiring hardware drilling into your doorframes.
While the pressure-mounted installation is convenient and avoids wall damage, you should verify your specific ceiling height and width before purchasing. Because it spans such a large vertical distance, ensure your installation surface is sturdy enough to maintain consistent pressure for that extra-tall frame.
Standout Features
The standout feature is the immense height, which effectively eliminates the jumping problem common with shorter gates. Additionally, the inclusion of a double lock mechanism and a narrow 1.34-inch bar spacing provides peace of mind that small pets cannot squeeze through or manipulate the latch.
What We Like
We appreciate the combination of two-way opening and the auto-close function, which makes passing through the gate much easier while carrying items. The pressure-mount system is also a major plus for renters or anyone who prefers to avoid permanent hardware installation.
