Our Review
The Thomletha 2000 lbs axle beam provides a solid foundation for various light-duty trailer builds, from boat and ATV haulers to utility and cargo trailers. Constructed from sturdy iron and steel, it aims to deliver reliable strength for long-term use across diverse applications. Its 47.5-inch hub face measurement serves as a functional standard for common trailer widths.
However, potential buyers must be prepared for some assembly work before installation. The included leaf spring brackets are not pre-welded, meaning you will need welding skills or a professional to attach them to the axle to meet your specific requirements. It is also wise to measure your trailer carefully, as the manufacturer notes that an allowance of about an inch is acceptable for fitment.
Standout Features
The standout feature here is the robust material composition, utilizing iron and steel for high durability. Its broad compatibility across numerous light trailer types makes it a flexible choice for DIY enthusiasts looking to replace or build an axle system.
What We Like
We appreciate the straightforward, heavy-duty nature of the axle and its utility for a wide range of trailer types. The inclusion of the necessary brackets—even if they require welding—adds value by ensuring the essential mounting hardware is present right out of the box.
