In Short
The Yealink T54W is a robust VoIP desk phone featuring built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, making it a flexible choice for modern office setups. With an adjustable color screen and essential connectivity options, it offers a reliable communication hub for business professionals.
Our Review
The Yealink T54W is designed to handle the daily demands of a busy professional environment. Its 4.3-inch color display is adjustable, which is a helpful touch for various desk heights and lighting conditions, ensuring you can clearly read your caller ID and menu options. The inclusion of an external power supply is a great convenience, saving you from needing separate hardware if your current office switch doesn't support Power over Ethernet.
While the device is packed with modern wireless capabilities like dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, it remains a traditional-looking desk phone. It lacks the advanced touchscreen interface or expansive app support found on some higher-end video conferencing phones, so users prioritizing deep integration with video platforms might find it somewhat limited. However, for standard voice communication and reliable headset pairing, it serves as a steady workhorse.
Standout Features
The standout features here are the connectivity options, particularly the built-in dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. These allow you to set up the phone almost anywhere in the office without needing a dedicated Ethernet drop, while also letting you pair wireless headsets for hands-free mobility.
What We Like
We appreciate the inclusion of the power adapter, as many VoIP devices require separate purchases for power supplies. The adjustable display angle is also a smart design choice, making the phone significantly more usable across different desk configurations.
