In Short

Our Review
The SpiroPure SP-PS-1400 is designed as a direct replacement for several common pool and spa filters, specifically the Unicel C-9480, Filbur FC-1400, and Pleatco PJ80-4 models. It is built with an 80 square foot media capacity, which provides significant surface area for catching debris while aiming to maintain proper water flow rates.
Because this is a third-party replacement, it is essential to verify your current filter's dimensions before purchasing. With an outer diameter of 10 inches and a length of 14 9/16 inches, it fits specific housing configurations. If you are replacing a worn-out original filter, this unit offers a familiar design with a closed handle top and a 6-inch open bottom.
Standout Features
The standout feature here is the heavy-duty inner core, which is engineered to provide structural integrity against water pressure. This design choice helps prevent the cartridge from collapsing under high flow rates, ensuring consistent filtration without restricting the system's performance.
What We Like
We appreciate the straightforward design and the clear compatibility cross-referencing provided by the manufacturer. Having a reliable, durable option that matches specific OEM dimensions makes the inevitable maintenance of a pool or hot tub system much simpler for the average owner.
