In Short

The Yost BC-6 Bench Chain Vise provides a heavy-duty solution for securing large pipes and irregularly shaped objects, offering a 6-inch capacity and a durable cast-iron construction that is built for demanding workshop tasks.

Our Review

The Yost Vises BC-6 is designed specifically for those who need a reliable way to hold larger pipes during cutting or threading tasks. With a pipe capacity range starting at a quarter-inch and extending up to six inches, this tool is well-suited for heavy-duty plumbing or fabrication work where standard bench vises might fall short.

Because this unit is built with a rugged cast-iron body, it is clearly intended to stand up to the rigors of a busy workshop. However, it is important to remember that safety is paramount with this type of equipment; always ensure it is mounted securely and review the manufacturer's manual to prevent injury during operation.

Standout Features

This model distinguishes itself with an integrated pipe rest and bender, making it more versatile than a simple clamp. The inclusion of a replaceable jaw and removable bending dies adds significant longevity to the tool, allowing you to maintain functionality over time without needing to replace the entire assembly.

What We Like

We appreciate the specialized design that makes handling bulky or oddly shaped materials much easier than using a traditional vise. The heavy-duty cast-iron construction provides a reassuring sense of stability and durability when tackling larger projects.
